The Banks Studio Gym
The Banks Health Studio is an alternative to the big gyms in the Kensington area, a great selection of weights and cardio equipment, coupled with boxing fitness classes and personal training the Banks is the perfect environment to enjoy your time at the gym while getting fit and toned.
We have just added our breakfast bar to the studio allowing the early risers to get a full workout and breakfast before heading to the office. There is no better way to start the day then with some weights or cardio to get the blood flowing and muscles moving!
The Banks also offers mat and reformer pilates classes, small class sizes are guaranteed to ensure you get the best out of your pilates sessions.

BEGINNER PILATES COURSES STARTING FEBRUARY 1st 2010
Learn the fundamentals of the Pilates principles and the basic repertoire in this
8 week beginners course run by qualified instructors in our intimate
and friendly studio located in Kensington Banks estate.
Small class sizes guarantee personal instruction and supervision.
Suitable for all ages and fitness levels.

February 1st Monday 7.30pm
February 3rd Wednesday 7.30pm
Cost $150 for 1 session per week or $270 for 2 sessions per week for 8 weeks.

New Pilates Timetable and Classes
New beginners pilates classes are starting next week, on October 12th along with a new timetable. If you have never given pilates a try before there has never been a better time to tone up, build your core strength and get involved with these new beginner classes. Call a head to reserve your place in one of our beginner classes on 9376 6551.
For those who have completed beginners or who have experience in pilates make sure you get in and reserve your place for Level 1 pilates, almost all of our beginners are coming back for Level 1 so places are filling fast. To enhance your pilates workout a range of time are available for reformer pilates classes with our highly trained staff.

Spring Racing Challenge – Oct 7th to 28th
**Update: Starting this week, on Wednesday, we have had a strong response to this program/class but still have spaces available, so get off the couch and come to the studio to have some fun and lose some extra weight before looking fab at the spring racing carnival!!**
It’s that time of year again, when everyone has a hot tip and Melbourne stops to watch the ultimate week of racing. How will you look at this years racing carnival? With the days getting longer and daylight savings on our doorstep there is no excuse not to get out of those warm track pants and get to the gym for results.
The best part, you pay for what you lose!! A $50 registration and $10 for every kilo that you lose during the 4 week challenge will see you happily handing over your cash after 4 great weeks as you race to get a prime spot on the lawn at this years carnival.

Kids Fitness Challenge – October 6th to 29th
The Banks is proud to start its first Kids Fitness Challenge in October, aimed at children aged between 8 & 12, this classes focuses on participation, friendship and learning with all students receiving a free training book and t-shirt. This class aims to teach children about a health lifestyle while participating in a range of fun exercises and challenges with other children.
Running from October 6th to October 29th on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4pm to 4:45pm

What’s Happening @ The Banks
The Banks is getting ready for another long hot summer with some new programs to get you fit and looking spectacular this Spring. We are currently running a range of group fitness and Pilates classes to suit all fitness levels, including:
Boxing – Tuesday Night 7pm (45+ min) $15 Casual
Tuesday night is all about boxing at the Banks, from skipping to the heavy bags, push-ups to the speed ball, this is a great class for all fitness levels to get involved in. It’s all about cardio, hand speed, core and pushing your limits for 8-10 rounds in a great laid back environment. This class is filling up each week as word gets around so book ahead!! MMA- Friday Night 6pm (45+min) $15 Casual
Friday night is for getting the working week out of your system and starting the weekend with a bang at the Banks. An awesome cardio workout and a great class to build your strength and full body fitness at your own pace. From kicks and knees to ground and pound and all everything in between this class will have you working up a sweat in no time.
